“In These Golden Hills” is a series of original watercolor studies by artist Blakeney Sanford. Painted on Rancho San Julián, this numbered series is inspired by Sanford’s time on the ranch. Each season she thinks, “there is no season as beautiful as this.” Then the next comes and she is equally in awe. However, there is something about the quintessential golden hills in summer, dotted with live oaks and grazing cows, that she finds particularly inspiring.
