Kitchen Drawer Essentials

Kitchen Drawer Essentials

Some people are fascinated to see what is on other people's bedside tables, but I love to see what is in their kitchen drawers! Nicknacks and tools in the kitchen can sometimes get out of hand. Do we really need all these things? I am definitely a person that believes that less is more, but here are a few of my favorite tools in the kitchen that make my life so much easier!

Here are links to my favorite tools in my kitchen drawer. There are not many because many times I have a few uses for one tool. Some of the tools have been given as gifts over the years so they may not be exactly the same- but for the most part these are my essentials!

  • All-Clad Measuring Cups- It is always great to have some good solid measuring cups. I got these years ago and I use them almost every day.
  • Kizen Digital Thermometer- I love this when I am cooking all sorts of meat! It is fast, if helps you with important temperatures to reach, and so easy to store.
  • Manual Can Opener- This tool not only helps you open a can of beans but also is great as a quick bottle opener.
  • Broom Cake Tester- I started using this cake tester years ago and loved it so much that we now offer it on my website. Toothpicks are great but I find they can get dirty quickly and always seem to be scattered all over the place.
  • Stanley Keychain Measuring Tape- Here's the deal, a tiny measuring tape has saved me numerous times. From quickly figuring out a pan size, to how large I have rolled out some dough, to a quick check on how tall my kiddos have grown! The measuring tape is only a drawer away- and makes me happy.
  • Tacgea Potato Peeler- These work great for potatoes, carrots but also for a lemon rind to add to a cocktail!
  • Craft911 Thermometer- A candy thermometer is really a must. So helpful when making brittle, caramel or really needing to know anything above 200 degrees.
  • 3 tbsp Ice Cream Scoop- I use this scoop for ice cream but also for cookies, muffins and pancakes!
  • Zyliss Garlic Press- This was a gift from a dear friend that I use at least once a day. You don't even need to take off the garlic skin! You just put it in and press!
  • Natural Bristle Basting Brush- I do a lot of egg washes on breads, pastries and pie doughs. I have a few of these brushes but I like to keep this one in my kitchen drawer so I can use it in a moments notice!

Check out my reel as I attempt to organize the drawer!

Enjoy!
