Paella on the Ranch

$125.00

Sunday, September 30th 12-4pm

One of the most celebrated meals of Spain is the Paella, and there is nothing more traditional than enjoying it on a Sunday with friends and family. Come enjoy the end of summer on historic Rancho San Julian with  Carmen Ruiz de Huidobro, a food lover who was born and raised in Madrid and now hosts culinary and artisanal retreats to Spain (Espanolita.net).  Sip cold gazpacho while enjoying a traditional Paella demonstration, including a lesson on preparing the seafood, chicken and rice for the summer meal. We will also enjoy a tour of the grounds with Elizabeth Poett and hear about California ranching history and its connection with Spain. You are then invited to dine on long wooden tables with linens from FOLD, under the century old Mission grape arbor and enjoy the freshly made paella, accompanied by local Spanish wines. This will be a dreamy afternoon filled with Spanish tradition and Rancho San Julian history, a perfect date or a get-away with friends. Salud!
