If you know me, you know I love food and flowers. Put them together and you get my kind of heaven. Here is a list of flowers that I love adding to my cakes, breads, cookies, salads and drinks. Just adding a beautiful touch of color always brings joy to every meal!

  • Pansy: mild sweet flavor
  • Roses: delicate sweetness that can be bitter, but are gorgeous 
  • Dandelion: tangy
  • Hibiscus: tart
  • Lavender: tastes the way it smells
  • Squash Blossom: mild and sweet
  • Nasturtium: peppery
  • Marigold: zesty citrus with a touch of spice
  • Violet: sweet and mild
  • Chamomile: grassy sweetness
  • Calendula: peppery tang
  • Honeysuckle: honey with a hint of jasmine
  • Mint: tastes as it smells
